Our joint-university project entitled “Heat Utilisation via Thermally Regenerative Electrochemical System” (HEATHER) has been accepted by the UKRI/EPSRC for 2.5-years of research with the financial support of ca. £350K. Dr Dowon Bae (PI) and Prof. Tadhg O’Donovan (co-I) will lead the project together with Dr E. Brightman and Dr S. Robertson (The University of Strathclyde) to develop novel thermally-regenerative electrochemical cycles for efficient heat-to-chemical-to-electricity conversion and storage.
